Architecture Internship Program

Architecture Internship Program

This 12-week Architecture Internship Program offers you an opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world projects, enhance your technical skills, and collaborate with experienced professionals. It’s open to both local and international students in Australia.

  • Current University Students in Australia
    The internship program is suitable for both international and local students at Australian universities who want to to gain academic credit, and apply their architectural skills in real-world scenarios.

  • New Graduates and Students Whose Degrees Don’t Require an Internship 
    You can combine your internship placement with the accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program if you’ve already graduated or  don’t have a degree-requirement for an internship but you want to gain hands-on work experience relevant to your studies. 

What the Work Experience Placement Looks Like 

Your architecture internship placement will be coordinated to match your internship needs, including the start date, location, and total length of the placement. 

Example host companies include:

  • A sustainable urban development consulting business
  • A design and project management firm
  • An established architectural service specialising in town planning

Depending on your host company, your internship tasks could include:

  • Development of design concepts and model-making
  • Designing in software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, and Revit
  • Supporting project management and execution tasks
