Location Profile
Portland North Primary School is a Prep to Year 6 school with an enrolment of approximately 140 students. The school is located approximately 5km from the GPO in an outer lying rural setting. The enrolment is made up of a mix of city and rural students of which approximately one third travel by bus. Our students are drawn from families living in:

We value the importance of providing students with the access to a high quality education, particularly in the areas of Literacy and Numeracy. Our Strategic Plan priorities focus on continuing the improvement in terms of learning outcomes in these key learning areas, and exploring and improving student engagement. We aim to have teams of students and teachers working together enthusiastically as they learn together. We recognise the wide range of backgrounds and interests our students bring to school and the scope of achievement the classroom teachers address on a daily basis. Each child, at Portland North, has a right to be engaged in the curriculum in a challenging and rewarding manner.
