Kyabram P-12 College is an exciting Prep -12 College which offers children a seamless journey from the start of their schooling experience to the completion of their secondary education be it in the VCE University Placement (UP) pathway or VCE Vocational Major (VM).

Kyabram P-12 College is a co-educational school located approximately 200 km north of Melbourne, in the rural township of Kyabram on the western edge of the Goulburn Valley, midway between Echuca and Shepparton.

Enrolment numbers have remained steady with 940 students enrolled in 2022 and 971 students for 2023.  Of these, we have six percent of students with English as an additional language and seven percent are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Our Student Family Occupation (SFO) is 0.5732 and our Student Family Occupation and Education (SFOE) Index is 0.5032. We have approximately 90.20 EFT staff: 3.0 principal class, 73.0 teachers, and 24.1 education support staff.

Description

Our dedicated teaching staff focus on the learning and wellbeing of every student.  The college aims to equip all students to approach their futures with spirit and confidence. We foster the partnership between students, parents/ carers, staff, and the broader community.  We teach and encourage every student to:

We take great pride in delivering exciting, diverse, and innovative student programs, and have established a strong identity and tradition in fulfilling lifelong learning.  Subsequently, the college offers a wide range of subjects at VCE Vocational Major (VM) and has an established, multiple award-winning Applied Learning program. The college also offers students an extensive range of VET subjects which can be accessed from Year 10.

We have a strong student leadership program and extra curricula programs that develop student connectedness to the College. Our staff participates in regular professional learning to enable students to learn using modern teaching practices and sophisticated digital technologies to promote twenty-first century learning.

Program Benefits 

This position attracts an incentive payment of $5,650 (pre-tax) for the successful candidate who meets the eligibility criteria set out under conditions of employment.

Conditions of Employment 

All staff employed by the Department and schools have access to a broad range of employment conditions and working arrangements. 

The appointment of successful applicants will be made subject to satisfactory pre-employment conditions check. 

A probationary period may apply during the first year of employment and induction and support programs provided. 

Eligibility for incentive payments: 

  • The successful candidate is committing to a minimum of 1 year employment at this school. 
  • The successful candidate will not be a Graduate Teacher Incentive recipient from a previous vacancy. 
  • The successful candidate must not be employed as a teacher by the Department at the time the advertised position is to commence.
