The Opportunity

As a Future of Technology Intern within the Emerging Technology function, you will work closely with the team; gaining an understanding of how our technology functions partner with the wider Agency to optimise how we work. You’ll complete a relevant project that makes a real difference to life at the Future Fund, shadow a knowledge mentor who will guide you through the corporate world, and build relationships with key stakeholders.

Throughout the program you’ll have the chance to meet with industry leaders, develop key business skills through targeted workshops, and listen to subject matter experts give talks on a range of interesting topics.

About the team

The Emerging Technology team acts as an innovation hub for the organisation, working closely with various business units to turn cutting edge ideas (like AI tools) into real world solutions. The team doesn’t just trial new technologies – they share insights with the business to help everyone stay ahead of the curve. You’ll be joining a small passionate group that values curiosity, knowledge sharing and where new ideas are encouraged.

What you’ll work on:

• Research and identify emerging technologies that could solve real business problems
• Collaborate with experienced team members and business stakeholders
• Get hands on by prototyping and testing new platforms, tools and devices
• Document your findings and contribute to best practice recommendations

About You

You should consider applying if you are:

• Approaching the final, or in your final year of an undergraduate or graduate degree.
• Studying technology, software engineering or able to demonstrate experience in these fields
• An Australian Citizen
• Have an interest in emerging technologies, artificial intelligence and machine learning
• Are curious about the Future Fund

• Applications will be reviewed once they close on March16th.
• If your application is long listed, you will be asked to complete online blended assessment
• Blended Assessment includes psychometric testing and a video interview
• Successful candidates after the online testing stage will be invited to an in-person assessment centre at our Melbourne office on the 27th of April.
