The Work

Depending on the team, your work could include:

• Supporting engineering and asset management assessments for major infrastructure assets
• Contributing to project and program delivery, including project assurance, planning and scheduling
• Assisting with infrastructure economics or planning analysis
• Analysing technical, environmental or operational data to help clients make informed decisions
• Reviewing project controls, risks and performance insights on large‑scale projects
• Helping assess feasibility, design considerations or project impacts in multidisciplinary teams

You’ll gain exposure to a variety of engineering‑aligned projects across sectors such as transport, water, resources, health, and government, helping you build strong technical, project and consulting skills while understanding how major projects come to life.

About the Vacationer Program

• For students in their second-last year of study in 2026 
• Job offers made in May
• Start work in November 2026 (typically, some teams have a slightly different schedule) with a 3-8 week role.
