You’ll join the team that builds the technology powering Australia’s data centre industry. From AI agents to enterprise integrations and cloud platforms – this is where software meets critical infrastructure.

What You'll Work On

You’ll work across three key areas, gaining the breadth of experience that makes a well-rounded engineer. AI isn’t just something we talk about – you’ll be building it.

Integration Development

• Build integrations connecting enterprise applications (Salesforce, ServiceNow) with cloud platforms (Azure) and operational technology systems
• Develop APIs and middleware solutions that enable seamless data flow across NEXTDC's technology ecosystem
• Work with REST APIs, MQTT, and integration platforms to automate business processes

AI Agent Development

• Create intelligent automation solutions that improve service delivery and operational efficiency
• Work with cutting edge AI technologies to solve real world business problems

Cloud & Modern Development (Exposure)

• Gain hands on experience with Azure cloud platforms
• Work with modern DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing
• Develop cloud native solutions using serverless architectures and microservices

Who We’re Looking For

This program is built for graduates who want to build real things from day one. You don’t need to know everything – but you do need to be the kind of engineer who’s always learning.

• Programming skills in Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar languages
• Understanding of APIs, web services, and integration concepts
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross functional teams

Eligibility & Preferred Backgrounds

• Be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident 
• Have completed your most recent undergraduate or postgraduate degree within the last 3 years of the program start date (February 2027) 
• Be ready to commence full time work at the program start date in February 2027 
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Engineering
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar)
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts or frameworks
• Understanding of DevOps practices and tools
• Personal projects or open-source contributions demonstrating technical passion
