As part of the NEXTDC Graduate Program 2027, you’ll join a high-performing Network Engineering team that plays a key role in supporting our rapid growth and innovation. You’ll join the team responsible for the network backbone that connects our customers to the cloud. This is where software engineering meets critical network infrastructure – and where you’ll learn to build, automate and optimise at scale.

What You’ll Work On

You’ll gain exposure across multiple business units, learning from experienced professionals who will support and challenge you as you build the technical foundations for a long and successful career.

You’ll experience both the software and infrastructure sides of our digital ecosystem, working on projects that directly contribute to the performance, automation and scalability of NEXTDC’s network.

Your Day-To-Day

• Support the Network team across: AWS, Front End & Back End Development as well as Network Hardware
• Develop or review new code 
• Create testing automation through AI tools enabling higher network health with machine learning algorithms 
• Deploying hardware for new site and capacity growth 
• Participating in the architecture and design of NEXTDC’s network 
• Research various vendor capabilities and new code developments 

Project Assistance

• Assist in the planning, execution, and management of projects and documents 
• Conduct research and analysis to support project goals
• Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation as required

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute ideas to enhance efficiency
• Assist in the implementation of new procedures and policies

Eligibility & Preferred Backgrounds: 

• Be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident 
• Have completed your most recent undergraduate or postgraduate degree within the last 3 years of the program start date (February 2027) 
• Be ready to commence full time work at the program start date in February 2027 
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Engineering 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
