The role:
We’re looking for a talented and driven final-year university student, or a recent graduate to join our AI team as an AI Associate. This is a unique opportunity to apply cutting-edge AI and machine learning techniques to real-world problems in asset management. You’ll design, build, and deploy AI tools from the ground up, including agentic workflows, internal chatbots and intelligent applications that enhance business processes and decision-making.
You will be responsible for:
- Help design and develop AI-powered applications and tools from scratch;
- Support the development of machine learning models for predictive analytics and portfolio insights;
- Contribute to the design and implementation of agentic AI systems that autonomously perform tasks such as data analysis, report generation and investment research;
- Write clean, efficient Python code for data processing, model training, and application logic;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions; and
- Stay up to date with AI/ML trends and contribute ideas for innovation.
Required skills and experience:
- Strong practical proficiency in Python and familiarity with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and Hugging Face. We are looking for people who are passionate about coding - ideally you've spent time doing self-directed learning outside of the textbook and built your own tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills. You enjoy the process of solving novel problems.
- Exposure to machine learning concepts and hands-on experience through coursework or projects;
- In-depth knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, and building chat-based AI tools;
- Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain and how to build multi-step reasoning agents;
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently or in a team setting;
- Self-starter with a high level of motivation and curiosity; and
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
- Self-aware, with an understanding of how to drive and implement dynamic change.
Preferred qualifications:
- Final-year student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related field;
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) or Git-based workflows;
- Interest in investing or financial markets;
- Familiarity with financial concepts or a strong interest in investment technology; and
