Employee Engagement Intern - People Team - Communication - Spring 2025

The Programme

The People team plays a crucial organizational role in Shopee by channeling important resources to key functions in the company.  

People are key to Shopee’s growth, and as our business expands, so does the need to develop and support our employees.

You will be working in the Shopee People Team to drive key Employee Engagement initiatives.   

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

  • Developing and managing end-to-end implementation of local and regional initiatives that enhance organizational culture and improve employee experience.
  • Supporting, maintaining, and improving ongoing employee engagement programmes.
  • Preparing internal communications including announcements to promote and publicize employee engagement initiatives.
  • Sourcing and managing the procurement of event material and merchandise.
  • Providing support on team events and other ad-hoc duties. 

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Human Resource Management, or related field.
  • Driven, self-motivated, adaptable, and versatile learner with ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong creative thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
