We're excited to open applications for the July 2026 Vacationer Program at Slomoi Immerman Partners. This is a 4-week, full-time placement designed to give you hands-on exposure to real client work, practical training, and a genuine feel for life in a boutique, fast-growing accounting firm.

You'll work alongside experienced accountants and business advisers, build your technical and professional skills, and be supported closely through your placement, so you can contribute meaningfully while learning quickly.

What you can expect from us

What you'll be doing

As a Vacationer, you will:

• Assisting with working papers and supporting the preparation of financial statements (with guidance and review)
• Helping with client bookkeeping tasks, including bank reconciliations and general ledger support
• Supporting the preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and related compliance work, where relevant
• Assisting with individual tax return preparation and basic tax compliance tasks, where relevant
• Drafting emails, checklists and documents to support client meetings and internal reviews
• Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) on straightforward matters, under supervision
• Attending client meetings, internal training and networking sessions to build your skills and confidence
  
  

What we're looking for

• A final year student
• Are studying a single or double degree in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Law with an Accounting major
• Demonstrate strong academic achievement
• Have strong communication skills
• Are involved in community activities
• Are eligible to complete the Chartered Accountants (CA) Program after your university studies
• Hold Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency (or have ongoing working rights in Australia)
• Are available to complete a full-time, 4-week program commencing late July 2026
