The Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA) Graduate Program is an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity to learn from industry experts and contribute to shaping a better future for our growing city and state.

SRL is more than a rail line - it’s a project that will enhance communities across our middle suburbs through better connections as well as more housing, business and job opportunities. The SRLA Graduate Program will provide a rewarding opportunity to learn from industry experts and contribute to a city shaping project, providing pathways for new career entrants to gain valuable industry experience and exposure. Graduates will be offered industry-specific training, professional development, and networking opportunities. Through the SRLA Graduate Program, Graduates will put learned theory into practice in real employment. Graduates will perform multiple roles in SRLA on a rotating basis and be exposed to a range of different jobs within their chosen field of study. The SRLA Graduate Program aims to launch meaningful career options to pave the way forward for opportunities in transport, infrastructure and projects.
As well as offering learning and development opportunities, the program also provides mentoring and networking to kickstart your career in transport.

About the 2026 Graduate Program

• Program starts 4 February 2026
• Two-year fixed term employment
• Rotational positions available across a range of disciplines
• Up to 4 6-month rotations in your area of interest
• Graduate Development Program, structured learning development workshops
• Ongoing support to help you shape your future and explore career pathway options
• Based in Victoria
• Flexible working arrangements and conditions under the Victorian Public Service

Selection process for intake 2026: 

• Monday 2 June 2025 – Applications open 9.00am
• 9 July – SRLA Information session – SRLA project overview and Hint and Tips for Recruitment Process (virtual online)
• Sunday 20 July – Applications close (1159pm) - We cannot accept any applications made after this time.
• 21 to 27 July - Online blended assessments (situational judgement test, applied intellect verbal and applied intellect numerical) and Video Interview - we'll ask you to record yourself answering a few motivational questions
• 19 or 20 August (in person event) - Assessment Centre and Interview –.  In some cases, we may also ask for an individual interview.
• September - Offers (2 year fixed term) – before we make an offer, we will complete reference, police and qualification checks.
• Graduate program – commence Wednesday 4 February 2026
• As we complete each stage of the selection process, we'll notify both successful and unsuccessful candidates.

About you

To be eligible to apply, you must have:

• Australia Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, New Zealand Citizen 
• Completed a relevant university undergraduate degree in 2023, 2024, 2025 or graduate by January 2026.

Suburban Rail Loop will transform Victoria’s public transport system and deliver enormous social benefits for all Victorians. With construction works started in June 2022,and tunnelling to commence in 2026 there’s never been a more exciting time to join our team.
