PR Coordinator is responsible for actively participate in representing and building the UNIQLO brand with the Australian media. This position works closely and collaboratively with the local team whilst focusing on all aspects of consumer PR including short and long lead media, digital and influencer. The role is accountable for contributing to develop strong, positive, direct relationships with media and content partners, chosen agencies and with their support, participate in creation and management of all media engagement including events/activations, brand/product endorsements and sponsored editorial.
Work closely with local Marketing & PR team to participate in creation and implementation of a local consumer PR strategy that integrates with all relevant global brand messaging.
Aligning with wider business and marketing strategy to participate in realization of local UNIQLO PR strategy that drives media exposure.
Participate in managing relationships with media monitoring, event, PR and influencer agencies.
In conjunction with agencies and internal stakeholders, coordinate day to day PR activity.
In implementing the PR strategy organize outreach activities including media interviews, PR photo opportunities, press kits, and event media attendance as required.
Coordination, and implementation of traditional fashion PR/Retail events including media showings, collaboration launches, store openings, brand ambassador appearances and activations.
Management of all product samples including unpacking of samples, managing of sample room and showroom as well as product loan requests with journalists and influencers, stock rotations and staff sample sale.
Manage the product seeding and outreach process for Australian media and influencers including press kits.
Manage strategy and implementation of all influencer campaigns.
Always act as a UNIQLO ambassador and representative.
Min 1-2 year of experience in PR, ideally within a brand or agency environment working with fashion or retail brands.
Have strong understanding of the Australia media market.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with the business and key media partners.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise own workload and deliver to tight deadlines and adapt when needed.
Attention to detail and capability to work on multiple projects in parallel.
Self-driven and ability to be both strategic and execution oriented.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
