2027 Kmart Group Graduate Program – Garment Technology

Brighter futures start here!

Ever wondered how products go from concept to store shelves - and how we make sure they’re high quality, safe and fit for purpose?

As a Garment Technology Graduate, you’ll play a key role in bringing Target & Kmart products to life - working behind the scenes to ensure what our customers buy looks great, fits well, and performs as expected.

Join the Kmart Group Graduate Program and be part of an iconic Aussie brand that touches the lives of nearly 2 million customers every week. We’re all about making everyday living brighter — and we’re looking for curious, driven grads to help us do it.

Why be our first Garment Technology graduate?

This isn’t just about quality checks - it’s about:

  • Shaping how products are developed from the ground up
  • Working closely with design, buying and global suppliers
  • Solving real product challenges that impact millions of customers
  • Building a unique skillset across product, quality and commercial thinking

You’ll see the full journey - from idea to store - and play a part in making it better.

What you’ll experience:

Across your rotations, you’ll build hands-on experience across the full product lifecycle — from development through to customer feedback.

You’ll:

  • Support the development of apparel products, ensuring they’re safe, fit for purpose and high quality
  • Get involved in fit sessions, fabric selection and garment construction
  • Work closely with design, buying and global suppliers to bring products to life
  • Analyse product performance and customer feedback to identify improvements
  • Help resolve real product issues and contribute to better outcomes
  • Gain exposure to sustainability, safety and quality standards
