2027 Kmart Group Graduate Program - Inventory

Brighter futures start here!

What if your first role could influence what millions of customers see on shelves - and when?

As an Inventory Graduate at Kmart Group, you’ll sit at the intersection of data, strategy and operations - using insights to make smarter decisions about what products we buy, where they go, and how we optimise performance across the business.

Why become an Inventory Graduate at Kmart Group?

This isn’t about counting stock - it’s about solving complex problems and driving real outcomes.

You’ll:

  • Use data & analytics to forecast demand and optimise inventory across stores and online
  • Identify opportunities to improve availability, reduce excess inventory, balance safety stock cover, minimise markdowns and increase sales
  • Work on end-to-end problems - from insight, to solution, to implementation
  • Be part of our journey into AI and advanced optimisation, shaping how we make decisions at scale

If you love data, problem-solving and seeing your work come to life - this is the role for you!

What you’ll experience

Across your rotations, you’ll gain hands-on experience across the full inventory lifecycle - learning how data translates into real business decisions.

You’ll:

  • Analyse trends, customer behaviour and product performance to inform forecasting decisions
  • Support inventory planning and allocation across stores and online channels
  • Build and test solutions to improve stock flow, availability and efficiency
  • Prioritise the right products to be unpacked and despatched to stores using data and expected demand
  • Work with stakeholders across the globe in the fields of buying, domestic and international supply chain and store operations
  • See your ideas implemented - and track the impact in real time

Why it’s exciting

We’re transforming how we manage inventory - using smart data, predictive tools, and analytics to spot trends, reduce waste, and boost sales. From planning product flow to mastering fulfilment strategies, you’ll be solving real challenges every day, making a real impact.

About the program

Starting February 2027, our 2-year program includes 3-4 rotations within the Inventory function, with a permanent role upon successful completion of the program.
