Cisco is ranked the No.1 Best Workplace in Australia by Great Place to Work—four years in a row!

#WeAreCisco, where each person is unique. We bring our talents to work as a team each day, helping power an inclusive future for all. Here's how we do it.

At Cisco, we embody transformation and help our customers excel in their digital worlds. Some may think we're "old" (38+ years strong!) and only about hardware, but we're also a software company, a security company, a blockchain company, and an AI/Machine Learning company. We even invented an intuitive network that adapts, predicts, learns, and protects. Our innovation never stops!

Cisco didn't just build the Internet. We keep building it. And while our technology helps connect the unconnected, that's not where our edge comes from. It comes from our people—unique, innovative, and diverse. Be you, with us!

Application Process

Application process for Graduate roles

  1. Application submitted online

Thanks for applying! You should have received an email confirmation that your application has been received. We encourage you to explore our @WeAreCisco social media channels where we highlight employee photos and stories about working at Cisco.

Make sure your CV is up to date with your latest achievements. We don’t want to miss out on knowing all about you and what you have to offer!

  2. Online assessment (for technical roles)

Once we’ve received your application, we’ll review your CV and cover letter for eligibility and suitability for our graduate roles. If you are successful, you’ll be notified via email to complete an online assessment.

Set some time for yourself to go through some practice online assessments. Find a quiet space to avoid or limit distractions.

  3. Webex/in person interview

This process helps us get to know you, and for you to learn about our people, culture, and business. We'll evaluate your skills and experience against our current business needs. We'll ask you about your academic and work experience, and you can ask questions, too. Be prepared to tell about your achievements and the value you could bring to Cisco.

Practice makes perfect! Do some practice interviews with your family and friends and get constructive feedback on how you can improve.

  4. Assessment Centre or Final interviews

The Assessment Day may be in-person or virtual depending on location. You will engage in various activities such as information sessions, group case studies, 1:1 interviews, and possibly individual presentations. The exact experience depends on the applied role and business area.

  5. Offer Extended

Once interviews for the role have been completed, someone will be in touch via a phone call with the outcome of your application.

Please note that this is our standard recruitment process. Some teams might have specific steps to complete outside these steps.
