Henry

Graduate Analyst
Ph.D. in Engineering & Bachelor of Engineering (Civil & Structural) (Honours)

Stepping into TBH as a Graduate Analyst has been an eye-opening experience that immediately challenged me to grow while providing an environment rich in collaboration and learning. With a Ph.D. in Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil & Structural) (Honours) from the University of Adelaide, I joined TBH eager to apply my technical knowledge while exploring new ways to contribute across projects and service areas. From day one, the supportive culture, approachable colleagues, and structured mentorship made me feel welcomed and confident to dive in.

A typical day for me is varied and dynamic, supporting senior staff with a range of tasks, from project planning to data analysis. I’ve been able to develop technical skills across software tools like Visio, Power BI, and Primavera P6, which have enhanced the way I analyze information, manage projects, and present insights effectively. The hands-on experience has been invaluable in building both technical expertise and professional confidence.

The ElevateU Program was an excellent introduction to TBH. Beyond learning about the company’s history, values, and strategy, it provided the chance to meet graduates from across Australia, creating a sense of community from the start. Sessions led by senior leaders were particularly inspiring, and participating in the company’s anniversary celebrations highlighted TBH’s commitment to its people and culture.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue exploring projects across different service areas, expand my skills, and contribute meaningfully to client outcomes. I want to leverage every opportunity to learn, take on challenges, and build a long-term career at TBH.

My advice to someone starting at TBH is to clearly understand what you want and proactively ask for opportunities. For future applicants, I would recommend being prepared, knowing your strengths, and demonstrating how your unique background can bring value.

TBH stood out to me because it offers diverse opportunities beyond traditional civil engineering paths. The combination of challenging projects, collaborative teams, and a people-focused culture makes it an ideal environment to grow, learn, and make a real impact.

Nikki

Graduate Analyst
Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Civil)

I began my journey at TBH as a Graduate Analyst following the completion of my Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Civil Engineering. From the very first day, my experience has been both empowering and rewarding, presenting challenges that have allowed me to develop technically, professionally, and personally.

What attracted me to TBH was the chance to work across a wide variety of industries and service areas early in my career. I wanted a role that balanced developing technical skills with growth in communication, problem-solving, and client engagement. What really set TBH apart was the supportive culture—mentors, directors, and colleagues are approachable, collaborative, and genuinely invested in helping you succeed.

A typical day as an Analyst is a mix of structured tasks and dynamic client-facing work. Mornings often start with meetings to align priorities and understand client needs, followed by focused time on deliverables such as reporting, data analysis, or developing Power BI dashboards. Throughout the week, I collaborate with both TBH colleagues and clients on project planning, programme reviews, and problem-solving, applying technical skills while contributing directly to project outcomes.

One of my proudest moments at TBH has been learning to embrace feedback and mistakes as opportunities for growth. Early in my career, I wasn’t naturally comfortable with constructive feedback, but through TBH’s supportive environment, I’ve learned to reflect, adjust, and improve. Another highlight was troubleshooting and resolving complex DAX code errors in Power BI—a tool I had never used before—which gave me a real sense of accomplishment and confidence in tackling unfamiliar technical challenges.

The ElevateU two-week induction program was an engaging and hands-on introduction to TBH. It provided insight into the company’s values, services, and project approaches, while also fostering connections with fellow graduates and colleagues. The program gave me confidence from day one, helping me understand not just what to do, but why it matters, and highlighted the supportive culture that permeates the company.

The most valuable lesson I’ve learned so far is that combining technical expertise with strong soft skills—communication, collaboration, and critical thinking—is key to professional growth. Mistakes aren’t setbacks; they’re opportunities to learn and improve. Seeking feedback, asking questions, and being proactive have been central to my development.

Looking ahead, I am excited to continue growing my skills, take on new challenges across a variety of projects and industries, and deepen my expertise while contributing meaningfully to client outcomes. I look forward to building a long-term career at TBH, delivering value, and making a difference.

My advice to someone starting at TBH is to make the most of the people around you—ask questions, seek feedback, and get involved beyond project work. For future applicants, I would say come in with an open mind, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. At TBH, exposure to diverse projects and industries drives real growth, and understanding the “why” behind your work is the key to success.

Overall, TBH has provided a platform where technical exposure, diverse projects, and a people-first culture come together, allowing me to confidently grow, contribute, and shape my career.

Consulant
Bachelor of Construction (Management and Property) & Master of Building Performance and Sustainability

I joined TBH as a Consultant after completing a Bachelor of Construction (Management and Property) at the University of New South Wales and a Master of Building Performance and Sustainability at the National University of Singapore. Since starting, my experience at TBH has been supportive, informative, and focused on continuous learning, giving me the opportunity to grow across different aspects of project work.

I was initially attracted to TBH because of its consultancy model, which spans multiple industries and offers exposure to a diverse range of projects. What stood out most was the chance for job rotation across service areas, the structured learning through mentoring and the ElevateU program, and the genuinely positive, inclusive work culture.

A typical day for me as a Consultant starts with a quick catch-up with my Project Manager to plan the day, followed by project work, problem-solving, and seeking guidance when roadblocks arise. This structure has allowed me to build my confidence, learn from colleagues, and contribute meaningfully to client projects. One of my proudest moments so far was collaborating with my Project Manager to deliver a completely new report with no prior examples. The report was successful and is now being used as a benchmark for future projects.

The ElevateU two-week induction program was intense but incredibly informative, providing a comprehensive overview of the business and helping me understand how different teams and processes fit together. It also allowed me to connect with colleagues and other graduate intakes across Australia.

The most valuable lesson I’ve learned at TBH is that consistent practice accelerates skill development and industry understanding. Creating personal SOPs and notes has also been invaluable, helping streamline tasks and reducing repetitive questions.

Looking forward, I am excited to gain exposure to a wider range of projects and industries, continue developing my technical and consulting skills, and explore new responsibilities over time.

My advice for someone starting at TBH is to be open to all types of work, ask questions, and take every opportunity to learn—it’s the best way to discover your interests and strengths. For future applicants, I would recommend considering whether a consultancy experience is right for them, as TBH offers broad exposure that builds a strong foundation for any early career path.

Overall, my journey at TBH has been marked by learning, growth, and meaningful contribution, and I am excited for the opportunities ahead.

Graduate Analyst
Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) And Commerce

Following the completion of a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Aerospace and a Commerce degree with a Finance major at Monash University, I began my journey at TBH as a Graduate Analyst. Since starting, my experience at TBH has been developmental, dynamic, and evolving, offering continuous opportunities to grow both technically and professionally.

From the beginning, I was attracted to TBH because of the variety of services and industries it works in, and the potential to gain exposure to multiple skills and experiences. What stood out most was the company’s focus on structured learning, mentoring, and providing the tools needed for graduates to contribute meaningfully from early on.

A typical day for me as an Analyst has been both engaging and focused. While I initially assumed I would rotate between small tasks on different projects, I quickly found myself working full-time on a single project. This has been enjoyable and rewarding, allowing me to learn deeply about the service line while contributing in a meaningful way.

The ElevateU two-week induction program was an excellent introduction to TBH, providing a structured and engaging way to understand the business, meet colleagues from other graduate intakes, and build connections across profit centres. It set me up to start my first week in Melbourne with confidence and clarity.

One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned at TBH is the importance of focusing on the final output of my work—presenting information in a way that adds value for the client. More information isn’t always better; it’s critical to think about relevance and clarity.

Looking ahead, I am excited to continue learning, upskilling, and contributing to more projects. I aim to expand my technical knowledge, take on increasing responsibility, and continue providing work that delivers real value to clients.

My advice to someone starting at TBH is to always consider the client and tailor your work to what will be most useful to them. For future applicants, I recommend being open-minded, curious, and eager to learn—TBH provides a supportive environment where growth and development are central to the graduate experience.

Overall, my journey at TBH has been marked by meaningful learning, valuable project contributions, and a collaborative culture, and I look forward to continuing to evolve in my career here.

What stood out to me most was the structured development pathway, the mentoring program, and the collaborative environment where everyone—from consultants to directors—is accessible and willing to support graduates.

A typical day for me as an Analyst starts with a coffee run with colleagues, followed by work assigned by Project Managers, including Program Analysis, constructing reports, and updating project schedules. I often collaborate with a second point of contact when my PM is occupied, ensuring deadlines are met efficiently. Lunches with colleagues often include catching up and playing pool to recharge before returning to project tasks. Being involved in real projects has helped me appreciate how schedules, reports, and deliverables fit into the broader context of project management, and has strengthened my attention to detail, accuracy, communication, and time management skills.

One of my proudest moments at TBH was improving my time management and delivering a Program Analysis ahead of its deadline for the first time—a milestone that reflected the feedback I had been working on and allowed me to see tangible progress in my professional growth.

The ElevateU two-week induction program was an excellent introduction to TBH, providing informative training modules, engaging activities, and the chance to meet colleagues from diverse teams and sectors. It helped me build a foundational understanding before diving into practical work, while making learning enjoyable.

Looking ahead, I am excited to continue building my technical skills, gain exposure to a wider range of projects, and take on increasing responsibility. My goal is to contribute independently to client work, learn from experienced consultants, and eventually progress into a more advisory role where I can apply my skills to solve complex project challenges.

My advice to someone starting at TBH is to be proactive—ask questions, seek out learning opportunities, and always try to understand the “why” behind the work. Similarly, for future applicants, I recommend being honest about your career goals and remaining open to growth and learning, as TBH provides an environment that fosters continuous development.

Outside of work, TBH hosts social events and activities that have been great for building connections and enjoying the office culture. Overall, my journey so far has been marked by support, challenge, and meaningful professional development, and I am excited for what lies ahead.
