Application Process

We look for strong communication skills, academic performance, professionalism and a passion for city shaping and community making. The best way for you to stand out is a strong application with a tailored, well-considered and concise cover letter.

Want us to tell you when the applications open? Register here: https://urbis.com.au/eoi-early-careers.

Our application process is below:

  1. 6-24th July - Online application

The process begins with an application online. Simply complete the application form and upload a CV, academic transcript, and evidence of working rights. Applicants for the Design Assistant role are also asked to upload their portfolio or share a link.

Note: We value your time and ask that you please ensure you meet the eligibility before preparing your application.
  2. 6-26th July - Psychometrics & Video Interview

Let's ensure we're a good fit for each other. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete an online psychometric assessment and a video interview. This stage helps us better understand how you approach problem-solving, collaboration, and decision-making.
  3. 7-21st August - Interview

The next stage will be an interview with members of the Urbis team. Interviews provide an opportunity for us to better understand your interests, skills, and aspirations. We invite you to bring any questions you have. For example, about the internship program, role, team, and working at Urbis overall.
  4. 10-26th August - Reference check

We'll then conduct reference checks for our preferred candidates. You'll be asked to provide the contact details of referees who can speak to your skills, experience, and suitability for the internship. Referees can include academic staff, supervisors, employers, and colleagues.
  5. 10-28th August - Job offer

Successful applicants will receive a formal job offer. This will detail the start date, duration and next steps.
